THE STEPSIDERS came about in late 2003 as I was seeking a vehicle (pardon the pun) for my songwriting, and had the lunatic idea that Austin might have room for just one more traditional country band. And lo and behold, it seems to have worked out. We've had the good fortune to play some of my favorite honky-tonks in Texas, and in the process have made some good friends and found that people really appreciate what we do. Since learning to play the guitar around the age of 12, I've enjoyed playing in various bands, but this is the first that I'd call my own, with me doing most of the writing and singing. I've had the opportunity to share the stage with some of the best musicians in town, and I'll always be thankful for all who've helped make this band what it is. It's been a fun trip so far, and one I hope to continue for a lot of years to come. Thanks so much to all of you, dancers, friends, and family, for your support. As always, stay tuned...
