Pat Waters is a pure-country traditionalist, with a deeply focused approach to honky-tonk music. Simply put, Pat is what country America is all about—honest values, simple words, and heartfelt emotions. From his infectious smile and dynamic rapport with an audience, to his oh-so-smooth rangy baritone, Pat Waters is the real deal.

He has shared the stage with hundreds of country’s best including Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, Alan Jackson, Ty Herndon, Rascal Flatts, Chris Cagle, Rhett Akins, just to name a few. Randall Hall, former member of Lynryd Skynryd, stated, ““I have been playing music all of my life and Pat Waters is one of the best country acts that I have ever seen!! The Real Deal!! It has been a total pleasure doing shows with Pat.”

Pat’s latest album Right Where I Belong is a dynamic spectrum of toe-tapping dance songs and memorable melodies you can’t help but hum along with. “This album reminds me of a fun filled Texas Friday night,” says Pat. “I really enjoy all of the songs on the album. If someone can’t dance or sing along to the songs on an album, they should not be there. I am happy to say that every song on this album accomplishes both of these things.” Each song hooks the listener with the bait of catchy phrases and the driving production of Eddie Gore. Capturing the essence of who Pat Waters really is, this album portrays his positive attitude and ebullient personality throughout.

Born in Ft. Worth and calling Bridgeport home, this tall drink of water is all Texan. He describes his childhood as “Nothing short of spectacular. I was always surrounded by friends and family and created millions of wonderful memories.” The countless hours he spent with his Granddad Ott and his revered Grandma Mac are imbedded to the core of what Pat holds close to his heart— “Grandma taught me that nothing comes before your family, and you must always work hard to follow your dreams.” After attending Bridgeport High School Pat went to Ft. Scott Community College in Ft. Scott, Kansas on a football scholarship. It did not take long for Pat to realize he missed being close to his family. The move back allowed Pat to attain a Marketing Degree from the University of North Texas in Denton. “I really enjoyed going to the University of North Texas because it introduced me to different people and cultures from all over the world.”

Maybe it’s something in the Lonestar State water, but a love of music runs in Pat’s blood. As a proud husband and caring father, raising two stepchildren and two boys of his own, Pat fondly looks back and remembers Friday night family gatherings at his grandmother’s house for dominos, cards, and music. “Ever since those nights with my family, I have had a passion to sing and bring music to everyone.” With his first public performance in the late 80’s at the VFW in Chico, Pat quickly found he had the ability to "wow" an audience. “I enjoy the way that you can create a span of emotions for people and take them places that only a song can take them.” Soon after his initial spell with the spotlight Pat began playing more and more. He was quickly a staple at Texas-based Opry performances, and fans began flocking to Pat and his rollicking, high-energy show. With the musical influences Merle Haggard, Mel Street and George Strait, Pat found himself the newest torchbearer of traditional country music.

“I admire artists like these because they have remained truthful to the music throughout their entire career, and never sold out just to sell records. That is an inspiration to me.” Over the last few years he’s honed his craft, attracting larger audiences and a reputation as a showman.

After being nominated and voted Texas Male Vocalist of the Year for 2002, Pat released his debut CD I Knew in 2003. The first single and title track “I Knew” went to Number 1 in the U.K. This fledgling effort was an encouraging compliment to Pat's hard work, country upbringing, and entertainment talents. It captured the heart of real country, and has set the stage for Pat’s sophomore endeavor to make him a star. Great American Country said, “Pat Waters is a pure traditionalist and very much the essence of REAL country. Keep an eye on this one.”

What sets Pat apart from other rising stars is his clear, unwavering vision of where he wants to go and what it will take to get there. Plainly put, his goal is to create music that people can love, hurt, dance and always listen to. With his captivating personality and superb vocal talent, Pat certainly accomplishes that. The music on his albums is only rivaled by the intensity of his live performance. On stage he creates a cinema of emotions, and has an uncanny ability to create a "mind picture" with words and music, drawing fans in ever deeper to the song and to the performance.

Early in life, Pat received the following piece of advice from his grandfather: “The only thing that money cannot buy is respect. Respect has to be earned by treating others as you would wish to be treated, and by following through with what you say you are going to do.” Pat has never forgotten those words. He's following through, and earning more than his share of respect along the way.
