Clint Martin has country in his soul and it shows through his music. Clint writes songs that are true and cuts straight to the core. Growing up on a beef cattle ranch in south central Texas, Clint realized what hard work was and sticks to his roots. Clint began listening to Texas music, growing up around famous places like Gruene Hall and Schroeder Hall. Some of his influences include George Strait, Robert Earl Keen, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Jason Boland, and Jamie Richards. At the age of 16, Clint picked up his first guitar and learned to play basic songs and began writing at the age of 18. While attending Tarleton State University, Clint became involved with more experienced musicians and joined a Texas country band as a front man. The typical college band lasted two years before breaking up in 2004. Clint began writing songs and built a catalog of great country tunes, with a modern sound. In 2007 Clint established The Clint Martin Band and began playing around Texas. The next year Clint recorded his freshman record titled “Proven”. Tommy Detamore of Cherry Ridge Studios in Floresville, Texas co-produced the album with Clint. The album consists of eleven original songs, including his debut single “West Side of The Tracks”. Clint’s first single held tight on the Texas Music Chart for ten weeks in the forties before reaching # 39 on week of Nov. 2nd. The single got Clint state wide recognition as well as airplay overseas in Europe and Australia. Clint Martin Band has opened for artists like Kevin Fowler, Jamie Richards, and Granger Smith. Clint Martin’s shows are based around great originals and classic covers that you will force anybody to head to the dance floor.
