Billy Garza on lead vocals, guitar and harmonica is a south Texas native that has called the Austin area home for over two decades. Spending a good chunk of that time working at Austin's legendary blues club Antone's, Garza couldn't help but be influenced by the many award winning, world reknown musicians that graced the Antone's stage. Following the likes of James Cotton, Rob Roy Parnell and Kim Wilson, Garza took to harmonica like a Texan takes to barbecue. Garza now fronts his own band "40 Guns", playing traditional country music as well some some fun originals with a blues twist. "A voice like Cash and riffs like Little Walter keep Billy Garza in the mix of true Texas music." ...Southwest Blues Magazine

Robin Quick on fiddle and harmony vocals began playing violin in the 4th grade orchestra. Country fiddling took the reigns of his interest and Quick soon started gigging as a fiddle player in an Old West show complete with costumes and six-guns. There he shared the stage with Jerry Jeff Walker and Charlie Daniels. Quick met Billy Garza at his wedding where later that night they jammed around the campfire. Shortly thereafter Quick became a member of the band.

Adam Johnson on lead guitar hails from Chicago, IL, and true to his town came up listening to a lot of blues and blues-influenced music. Johnson's influences range from the greats like Freddie King, B.B. King and Buddy Guy, to more contemporary artists like Tommy Castro and Bernard Allison. Johnson ventured south to Nashville during his college years and got his first taste of country music at places like Tootsie’s and Printer’s Alley. After moving down the line to Austin, Adam met up with Billy Garza and started to meld his blues roots with Garza’s country and blues stylings, injecting a little bit of low-down-and-dirty into the country!

John Chandler on drums and vocals is one of the best traditional country drummers in the Texas Hill Country. He brings a wealth of experience to the stage. Chandler has played with Alvin Crow, Jimmy Day, Johnny Bush, Bert Rivera, Trace Adkins, Michael Martin Murphey, the Texas Playboys and countless others. His professionalism and sensitivity to traditional country music brings an added dimension to Billy Garza and 40 Guns.

Robby Jewett on upright bass and backing vocals is the glue that holds the band together. While versatile in many genres, his passion for tradtional country music shines with Billy Garza and 40 Guns. Jewett has toured with rock drummer Buddy Miles, bluesman Long John Hunter, and country singer Wayne "The Train" Hancock. Jewett has also performed live on the Grand Ole Opry with Dale Watson. Sharing the stage with bluesman Buddy Guy, conjunto musician Flaco Jimenez, and the Asylum Street Spankers can also be found on Jewett's resume'.
