The 11th Street Cowboy Bar in Bandera will host a K-9 Start-up Program Fundraiser on Saturday, June 10, from noon to midnight. Live country dancehall music will be played from 1-5 p.m. by Rusty Nails, 5-7 p.m. by Dusty Britches and friends, and 7-11 p.m. by Rusty Cofield. There is no cover for this event.

There will be a live and silent auction, barbecue plates for $6 all day and to go, and activities including Dunk a Cop and horseback riders collecting money.

The goal of the fundraiser is to raise $20,000 to $30,000 to provide and equip a vehicle to handle a K-9 drug dog unit for the Bandera Police Department and train field personnel to ensure children's safety on the streets and in schools.

11th Street also invites any grops or people that would like to match or donate to this cause by contacting BPD Chief Shane Merritt. A special fund has been put in place at the Bandera Police Department, P.O. Box 2279, Bandera, TX 78003-2279. Checks should be made payable to NACOP, care of Bandera Police Department. This is a non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible.
